Beijing Human Rights Lawyers Defending Falun Gong Demand Apology from Bureau of Justice

Epoch: “Public security organs, procuratorial organs and People's Courts, as well as the Bureau of Justice, all have many internal regulations over Falun Gong cases, and if a lawyer adhered to the requirements of the Law of the Peoples Republic of China on lawyers and Criminal Procedure Law to defend for Falun Gong clients, he or she would be suppressed in all kinds of ways,” attorney Jiang Tianyong said.
The official Decisions on Administrative Punishments accused the two lawyers of “disrupting courtroom order” and “interfering with the regular litigation process” for defending a Falun Gong practitioner at trial in Luzhou Intermediate Court. Amnesty International is looking into this outrageous violation of the judicial court.
